As one of the Austrian solar pioneers Erwin Gattringer and his wife Getraud founded the specialised wholesale trade Gattringer GmbH in the year 1981. Only a few years later the development and production of an own solar collector started, the trademark GASOKOL was registered and the GASOKOL GmbH was founded.

Today the assortment ranges from solar thermal solar collectors and accessories to solar storage systems and system components, what makes GASOKOL to a system provider in the solar industry. Beside high-quality products GASOKOL offers high specilist know-how in planning, conception and dimensioning of solar thermal systems. GASOKOL is one of the leading companies in the field of renewable energies.

On a production area of about 4.500 m² GASOKOL produces solar systems with an collector area of about 80.000 m² every year. Partners in more than 18 European countries are supplied with GASOKOL-systems, that are perfectly adjusted to the local requirements. The export share represents more than 70 %.
